Construction of Two New Confessionals

New confessionals expected to deliver in three months.

We are excited about the construction progress of our two new confessionals! While they have taken a little longer to build than expected, they should be ready for us to enjoy in about three months! The confessionals are modular and will need to be disassembled at the shop in Octavia … and reassembled once they arrive at our church.

We love the detailed craftsmanship and know they will be a beautiful addition to our parish! It will be worth the wait!

  • Abstinence means eating no meat nor soup nor gravy made from meat. Abstinence obliges all Catholics over the age of 14. Sickness, hard manual labor, pregnancy, etc., automatically excuse a person from these obligations.

Charitable Giving Presentation & Dinner – January 10th

You are invited to attend a special dinner and presentation hosted by Scott Yates at the Catholic Foundation of Southern Nebraska is offering a dinner and presentation on January 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Lourdes Central Catholic.

St. Mary’s parish in Nebraska City traditionally hosts the Foundation about once a year to provide a presentation on a planned giving related topic. Their presentation is not specific to Lourdes Central Catholic School and the Foundation is not a fundraising group. They simply want to provide you with information to help area parishioners understand methods of strategic charitable giving that will hopefully benefit our local Catholic schools, churches, organizations, etc.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity!
